KEEP RADICAL ISLAM OUT OF AMERICA’S INSTITUTIONS

Radical Islamist networks should never be allowed to gain influence inside the institutions that shape our laws, communities, and national security.  

Recent reporting surrounding Abdul El-Sayed highlights why transparency is critical. El-Sayed is scheduled to speak at the Islamic Society of North America’s (ISNA) annual convention. Furthermore, his father-in-law, Tayeb Jukaku, has served on ISNA's Founders Committee and contributed $300,000 to a super PAC supporting El-Sayed.  

These connections raise serious questions because ISNA has previously faced federal scrutiny during the Holy Land Foundation terrorism-financing case. While individual association does not automatically prove support for radical Islamism, documented funding networks, organizational leadership, and political access must not be ignored.  

This issue extends beyond a single candidate. Americans have a right to know how organizations build legitimacy, access political power, and seek institutional influence. Protecting religious liberty and defending our national security from extremist ideological movements go hand in hand.
