Inside the Aurora Migrant Complex: Chaos, Crime, and Corruption Allowed to Fester by the Biden-Harris Administration
Aurora, Colorado, once a symbol of suburban American life, is now a victim of an unchecked migrant crisis spiraling out of control under the Biden-Harris administration. Over 43,000 migrants, mostly from Venezuela, have flooded into Denver and Aurora in just two years, creating chaos, crime, and disorder at the expense of American citizens. Taxpayer dollars are being funneled into local non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to fund this crisis, and the results are devastating.
Local NGOs like Papagayo and Vive Wellness have received millions in federal money to "manage" the influx, yet their lack of oversight and housing experience has turned once-safe residential areas like Edge at Lowry and Whispering Pines Apartments into dangerous, overcrowded, and crime-infested zones.
Thanks to an investigative collaboration between journalist Jonathan Choe, Frontline’s Turning Point USA, and Manhattan Institute’s Logos Initiative, we now have a clearer picture of the devastation wrought by the Biden-Harris administration’s open-border policies. Residents share stories of relentless gunfire, assaults, and vandalism—one resident reported hearing 31 gunshots in just 25 minutes outside their home. This is no accident. It’s the direct consequence of allowing NGOs and local governments to operate without transparency or accountability.
Aurora apartment owner Zev Baumgarten, another victim of this migrant crisis, was violently attacked after attempting to collect unpaid rent. Local landlords were promised by NGOs that migrants would have stable income to cover rent, but these assurances have turned out to be hollow. As rent remains unpaid and evictions pile up, chaos reigns in what were once peaceful neighborhoods.
Perhaps most damning is the lack of oversight in funding. Over $19 million in federal COVID-19 relief funds were handed to these NGOs, with no accountability or consultation from neighboring Aurora city officials. The Biden-Harris administration continues to let NGOs run rampant while the residents of Aurora suffer.
Aurora Mayor Mike Kaufman has spoken out, making it clear that his city is not a sanctuary for illegal immigrants. However, real action to protect his citizens remains elusive. Meanwhile, residents are left to fend for themselves, dealing with a skyrocketing crime rate and deteriorating living conditions caused by this surge of migrants.
The Biden-Harris administration's reckless policies are directly responsible for this crisis. With taxpayer dollars being misused, our communities are left vulnerable, and American families are paying the price. The time for action is now. The safety and security of Aurora—and indeed, our entire nation—hangs in the balance.
We cannot allow this chaos to continue. It’s time to demand accountability from the Biden-Harris administration and hold these NGOs responsible for the destruction they’ve caused. The future of Aurora, and countless other communities, depends on it.
Take action now. Demand that the Biden-Harris administration and these NGOs be held accountable for turning Aurora into a hotbed of violence. Text “AURORA” to 52886 or visit our advocacy page at https://p2a.co/qWbiEFN to make your voice heard and protect our communities.
