Demand El-Sayed Put American Security First

Abdul El-Sayed is seeking to represent Michigan in the United States Senate, but his record raises serious questions about public safety, immigration enforcement, and national security.

El-Sayed has called for abolishing ICE, the federal agency responsible for enforcing immigration law inside the United States. In 2020, he also said that America needed to defund the police, argued for investing less money in law enforcement, and questioned whether police officers need guns or whether communities need as large a police force.

These are not simply political slogans. ICE arrests dangerous offenders, investigates cross-border crime, and carries out lawful removal orders. Police officers respond to violent crimes, active threats, and emergencies every day. Accountability is essential, but weakening these institutions could place American communities at greater risk.

El-Sayed’s political associations and financial relationships also deserve scrutiny. He campaigned with Hasan Piker after the political streamer faced widespread criticism for inflammatory remarks about America, Israel, and Orthodox Jews. El-Sayed’s father-in-law contributed $200,000 to a super PAC supporting his campaign and has held leadership roles with CAIR-Michigan and the Islamic Society of North America. El-Sayed’s own financial disclosure also lists CAIR-Oklahoma as the source of a paid speaking engagement.

These records do not establish criminal wrongdoing, but they do raise legitimate questions about El-Sayed’s judgment, organizational relationships, donor influence, and national security priorities. Michigan voters deserve complete transparency and clear answers before Election Day.

America needs secure borders, enforced immigration laws, strong and accountable law enforcement, and leaders who will protect American families.
