In a shocking and provocative move, Mexico has erected a piece of the Berlin Wall next to the open US-Mexico border. This is nothing short of a slap in the face for every law-abiding citizen and a mockery of our national sovereignty. The inscription on the base of their monument reads, “May this be a lesson to build a society that knocks down walls and builds bridges.”
This comes at a time when more than 7.2 million illegal immigrants have crossed the US border since Joe Biden took office. The audacity of the failed state south of our border is to believe that this is right and just. Their lack of respect for our borders is staggering. The open border and flow of drugs into the US have resulted in over 100,000 American children dying each year.
The Berlin Wall was built to keep people behind the Iron Curtain. In contrast, the Trump Wall was built to keep out drugs, terrorists, traffickers, and illegal aliens. It was a true symbol of American greatness, which Biden sold off for scrap.
As reported by FOX News, the Mexican government placed the piece of the Berlin Wall just a stone’s throw from the U.S.-Mexico border in Tijuana. This clear message to border-security advocates in the U.S was installed during a ceremony last month by Tijuana Mayor Montserrat Caballero and former Mexican foreign secretary Marcelo Ebrard.
Unlike the US border, the Berlin Wall was installed by an occupying power to divide a nation against itself. But let’s get something straight – our wall was not built to divide a nation against itself but to protect our citizens from criminals, the mentally ill, drug dealers, freeloaders, and terrorists from all over the world. This isn’t about locking people in; it’s about keeping dangerous elements out.
Mexico’s act of placing a piece of the Berlin Wall next to the open US border is nothing short of disgusting. It mocks our sovereignty and national pride under the guise of promoting unity. The reality is, we need to protect our borders and our citizens, not tear down the walls that keep us safe.
