To: President Obama
Both the Bush and the Obama Administrations have failed to stop Iran's development of military grade nuclear fuels. For four years, the Obama administration has engaged in a fruitless attempt to talk to the autocrats ruling Iran. It failed to give support to Iranians who took to the streets demanding a change in government.
Recently, the United States stepped up its economic sanctions against the Iranian regime. This is a welcome initiative, but it will not stop the Iranian nuclear project. For one, these sanctions are being undermined by Russia, China and India who have said they will continue to purchase oil from Iran.
The United States must present a credible military option and show determination to stop this nuclear project. The United States must stop undermining a possible Israel attack on Iran's nuclear facilities.
The world will never be safe if Iran attains nuclear weapons. The United States must lead a multi-faceted campaign to stop Iran.
